Friend and hunting companion of post-photographer L. A. Huffman, this Cheyenne Scout was photographed at fort Keogh, Montana Territory in 1879. One of Huffmans finest portraits it captures the beauty, dignity and sense of self-worth that is so often found in his photographic portraits of the Plains Indians.
